New CID Cosmetics - I Flick
I have never tried the brand New Cid, so when I received the I-flick Double Ended Liner I was really excited to try it. Unfortunately it hasn't been the love affair I was hoping.
The New Cid I-flick Double Ended Liner is bascially what it describes, a dual ended liner. On one end you have a liquid liner which has a flexible pointed nib. On the other end there is a khol liner which twists up.
The packaging is slick like any other liner you get and it is really handy to have if you wear liquid and pencil liner on a daily basis.
The pigmentation is not the best it comes out more of a grey, which for me I quite like as I can find a true black a bit harsh for every day use.
The liquid liner is really easy to apply and I think it would be great for beginners who find it hard to apply liquid liner. I also love the fact that the kohl pencil twists up instead of sharpens and this applies so smoothly, no tugging at the eye at all.
The bit for me that lets this product down is the staying power, this smudges and transfers almost instantly with or without a primer underneath. I am wondering if it is just my oily eyelids as though this smudges it is also really hard to remove. Which to me should make the longevity of it amazing. It is a confusing one.
Other than they staying power this is a nice liner but I'm afraid that is a big part of what makes me like a product.
I think if you don't have oily eye lids this would be worth a try. I would love to hear if you have tried this and what your thoughts are?

I think they are handy to have for your handbag. x
DeleteI tried this product too and thought exactly the same interestingly- it does smudge yet is impossible to remove! The liquid end stayed my eyes for days! :( Great review!

Glad it wasn't just me then. x
DeleteThis sounds good, but smudging and then being hard to get off is a strange combination! x
ReplyDeleteIt really is. :/ x
DeleteNever even heard of it! I'm crap at doing flicks so I don't even try!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a lot of practice. x
DeleteIt looks like such a good idea, but it's just a shame it's a smudger :( xx

I know. :( x
DeleteI was also disappointed with the smudgeiness of this when I tried it. I still use it every now and again, but mainly for the kohl end x

Glad I am not the only one that thinks this. x
DeleteI haven't tried this but liners that smudge drive me mad! I've only tried a few things from New CID but really liked them.
